Bald Eagle Pair Bath in Columbia Lake 2017 05 10 IMG_9448

Being the Eagle Watcher that I am, I enjoyed watching the Bald Eagle pair bathing in the Columbia Lake North Wetlands on May 10, 2017. They are used to me as they often see me kayaking so did not pay me much mind as I happily clicked away from my kayak with my small Canon Power Shot SX 16. Right spot, right time. It was so interesting! They certainly give themselves a good bath! One usually sees them all preened and pretty while seemingly strategically posing on some tree or cliff so it was almost humorous to see these majestic birds in this wet and scraggly state. But again sooo interesting!
